Why Pharma Smith

Built in-house.
Validated before it ships.

Every machine is fabricated, polished, assembled and trial-run under one roof — so what arrives at your plant is the same unit our engineers signed off on.

One roof, one accountability

Cutting, rolling, welding, polishing and assembly happen at our own works — no job-work chain to chase when something needs fixing.

Sized to your batch, not a catalogue

We start from your product, batch weight and cycle time. The drawing follows from your numbers, and you approve it before we cut steel.

Documentation that clears audits

MTCs, weld records, IQ/OQ protocols, GA drawings and spares list handed over as one pack — not chased for months after commissioning.

Video-Verified Line-Up

See the machines actually run

No renders you can't buy. These are units we build — shot mid-cycle so you can judge the finish, the seal and the motion before you commit. Tap the speaker to hear them.

Milling & Sizing

Colloid Mill

Wet grinding, homogenizing and emulsifying in a single pass. The rotor–stator gap is externally adjustable while the machine is running, so you dial particle size without stopping the batch — critical for ointments, creams and suspension bases.

Inline Homogenizer

High-shear inline mixing that pulls product through the shear zone instead of recirculating a whole tank. Faster batch times, tighter droplet distribution, and a CIP-friendly body that strips down without special tools.

Mass Mixer

Heavy-duty wet mixing for granulation — twin sigma-style blades work dense, sticky masses without dead zones, and the hydraulic tilt discharges the full batch cleanly so nothing is left to scrape out by hand.

Process Equipment Tools & Calculators

Six free, instant tools for process engineers and buyers — vessel capacity, drying cycles, FBD air volume, reactor heat-transfer area, plate weight and batch output. Built by a machinery manufacturer, not a generic calculator site.

Vessel & blender capacity calculator

Work out the gross vessel volume you need from batch weight and bulk density, allowing for the working fill ratio each machine type actually runs at.

Drying cycle time estimator

Approximate the water you need to evaporate and the cycle time it will take, by dryer type. Use it to compare a tray dryer against an FBD before you buy.

FBD air volume & filter bag area

Estimate the process air volume, blower duty and filter bag area for a fluid bed dryer from batch size and bulk density.

Reactor jacket heat-transfer area

Work out the wetted heat-transfer area of a jacketed reactor and the approximate duty available for heating or cooling your batch.

Stainless plate & shell weight calculator

Estimate raw material weight for a plate or a rolled cylindrical shell — useful for costing fabrication, freight and scrap allowance.

Batch output planner

Turn batch size and cycle time into realistic daily, monthly and annual output — with an efficiency factor for changeover, cleaning and downtime.

All figures are indicative for early sizing. Our engineers confirm the final selection against your product data — send us your batch sheet →

How We Work

From your batch sheet
to a running machine

We don't sell from a catalogue and hope it fits. Every enquiry starts with your product, your batch size and your room layout — the drawing follows from that.

Start Your Enquiry Size It Yourself
01

Requirement & batch study

Product characteristics, batch size, cycle time and the utilities available at your plant.

02

Drawing & specification

GA drawing, material of construction, surface finish and instrumentation list — approved by you before we cut steel.

03

In-house fabrication

Cutting, rolling, welding, polishing and assembly under one roof with stage-wise inspection.

04

Trial run & documentation

No-load and load trials, test certificates, weld records and the IQ/OQ documentation pack.

05

Dispatch, install & support

Site installation, commissioning, operator training and spares backed by our service team.

Quality Assurance

What cGMP compliance means on our floor

Compliance isn't a sticker we add at dispatch — it's decided at material selection, weld procedure and surface finish.

SS 304 / 316 throughout

Contact parts in 316 or 316L as your product demands, with mill test certificates supplied for every batch of plate we use.

Documented weld procedure

Argon-backed TIG on product contact seams, ground flush and passivated. Weld maps and welder qualification records ship with the machine.

Mirror finish, measured

Internal surfaces polished below Ra 0.4 micron where the process needs it — checked with a profilometer, not judged by eye.

Crevice-free construction

Radiused internal corners, flush-mounted fittings and sanitary tri-clamp connections so cleaning validation actually passes.

IQ / OQ documentation

Installation and operational qualification protocols, P&ID, GA drawings and spare parts list handed over as a complete pack.

Trial run before dispatch

No-load and where possible load trials at our works, with you invited to witness. Nothing leaves the factory untested.
